Fairfield County Bank Corp. to Open
New Operations Center in Ridgefield

May 22, 2006 - Fairfield County Bank Corp. in a move to support the significant growth experienced by the bank in the past few years will open a new operations center at 94 Danbury Road in Ridgefield. The new building is located behind Starbucks and will be accessible from the South Street Bypass and Route 35. The new center will bring together the many “back-office” operations that support customer service and products.

“Bringing together the various operations of the bank will enable us to provide for future expansion as we continue to grow. Today we have our Customer Service–Call Center in one building, our technology and operations departments in another and marketing in yet another. These areas all work together in developing, delivering and servicing the product needs of our customers. By centralizing these departments we can improve work flow and efficiency with the ultimate benefit being the continued ability to provide first rate service to our customers,” said Gary C. Smith, President and CEO.

Fairfield County Bank Corp. operates two divisions in Fairfield County; Ridgefield Bank and Fairfield County Bank, and has 17 branches in eight markets; Ridgefield, Georgetown, Wilton, Norwalk, Rowayton, Darien, Fairfield, and Westport. The new operations center is one of a number of strategies the bank is implementing to support its continued growth. Fairfield County Bank Corp. has had a “5-Star Superior” rating from BauerFinancial for fourteen consecutive years.

David Schneider, CFO and Senior Vice President, stated, “Finding a building in Ridgefield that would enable us to move all of our operations to one building is the right solution. We will have the ability to expand our services and the space to add the people we need while at the same time continuing our commitment to the community.”

The Main Office branch will continue to operate at 150 Danbury Road, Ridgefield. Other branch locations in Ridgefield at 374 Main Street and Ancona’s Market at 720 Branchville Road will continue to operate as full service branches.
