Decker Earns Certified Retirement
Financial Advisor™ Designation

Richard C. Decker, CIMA®, a Financial Advisor with Fairfield County
Financial Services and Infinex Investments, Inc., Member NASD/SIPC,
has been awarded the Certified Retirement Financial Advisor™
Designation. The Society of Certified Retirement Financial Advisors
trains financial advisors to be specialists in managing and
providing advice on the financial issues specific to retirees such
as:
--reduction or elimination of tax on social security income
--portfolio construction to assure a consistent retirement income
--review and implementation of adequate insurance including home,
car, life and health
--proper asset harvesting to provide the maximum after-tax income to
retirees
--establishing proper beneficiary designations on retirement
accounts
--review of estate plan to assure orderly management for the family
in event of illness, disability or death
After comprehensive
classroom training, CRFA™ graduates must pass a 4-hour exam proving
their proficiency in the above topics and obtain 15 continuing
education credits annually in retiree-specific financial issues.
Many financial advisors who complete the program are experienced
advisors and some already hold credentials such as CIMA® and CFP®.
Financial advisors complete the program in order to provide top
quality advice to people getting ready for retirement as well as
those already retired.
