Assistant Branch Manager

Job Description
Provides support to the Branch Manager by managing branch operations, and by working to promote an aggressive sales environment.

Responsibilities
 

  • Assists in the development of the branch business plan and goals
  • Responds to new business opportunities 
  • Assists in the development of subordinate staff, including coaching, conducting performance reviews and providing guidance, training and direction to implement plans and objectives 
  • Builds strong customer relationships, applies advanced customer service skills, and effectively cross-sells the bank’s portfolio of products 
  • Manages the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager, which includes covering extended operating hours 
  • Completes sales tracking reports and monthly overdraft reports
  • Manages safe deposit box function
  • Ensures that proper procedures are in place to guarantee all new account documentation is complete and accurate
  • Ensures accurate and complete wire transfer policies and procedures are in place
     

Requirements
 

  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in customer service and bank sales
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong computer skills are required
